The tour will guide you in the selection to let you discover the most important finds. A journey through more than 3,000 years of history of Egyptian civilization, suitable for adults and children.

The Regio Museo delle Antichità Egizie was formally founded in 1824 with the acquisition of a large collection by King Carlo Felice. This was assembled by Bernardino Drovetti, of Piedmontese origin. It was Champollion who famously wrote: “The road to Memphis and Thebes passes through Turin”.

You will wander among objects of everyday life, colossal statues, mummies and amulets, to find religious beliefs, lifestyle and traditions of the Nile and the land of the Pharaohs.

Merenda Reale® 1800 at Gelateria Pepino

Take part in Merenda Reale® (royal snack), a delicious and original way of traveling back to the golden age when Torino’s cafés were places of culture, politics and sociability. The snack will be served at Gelateria Pepino – where the famous Pinguino® was invented and patented in 1939 – in an environment whose architectural features evoke the atmosphere of a 19th-century café.

In the 19th century, thanks to its sophisticated confectionery, Turin had earned the reputation as the ‘capital of flavor’ throughout Europe, as it was dotted by a constellation of pastry shops and meeting places. Even the Royals did not refrain from venturing out of the Palace to take a stroll under the arcades of Via di Po and savor a ‘bicerin’ – a beverage made with coffee, fior di latte, and hot chocolate – which then became a morning ritual. Many delicious delicacies were created after the eighteenth century: ‘chifel’, a variation on the Viennese croissant; ‘foré’, a kind of bagel; ‘bicciolano di Vercelli’; a shortcrust ‘brioss’; ‘parisien’, the so-called ‘democratic’ bread… In the Risorgimento period, ‘garibaldin’ (a slice of simple buttered bread) and ‘garibaldi’ (a biscuit made of shortbread with raisins and apricot jam) became very fashionable. Finally, brand new hazelnut-based specialties were created in the second half of the century: Chivasso ‘noaset’ (‘nocciolini’), ‘cri-cri’, ‘givu’, and the hazelnut chocolate that would come to be known as Gianduiotto.

The menu includes 2 courses:

  • ‘Bicerin’ with the three ‘stisse’ (three ingredients: chocolate, milk cream, and coffee) accompanied by a selection of ‘bagnati’ (biscuits to dip)
  • A plate with Chivasso ‘noaset’ (nocciolini) and other chocolate specialties (2 Gianduiottis, ‘cri-cri’ and more)

Gondola serenade with a musician on board

Experience culture, beauty and romance of Venice in a relaxing way. Your visit to Venice would not be complete without treating yourself to a gondola ride accompanied with a beautiful serenade.

Today the Gran Canal is filled with modern transportation, but the gondolas still holds a valuable place in Venice’s history as one of the icons of the city. In the 17th and 18th century it is estimated that there were anywhere from eight to ten thousand gondolas that treaded through the canals of Venice. Today the art of the gondolier is being preserved in the historical center of Venice with only four hundred gondolas remaining. Taking a ride on a gondola gives you a different perspective of the city and takes you by places that you might have not been able to reach by foot.

Since we want you to enjoy, relax and take in the beauty of the sights around you no commentary from the guide will be given but your ears will be filled with a splendid serenade. Take this time to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!

La Fenice Theatre guided visit

Built in 1792 in Neoclassical style following a competitive public exam won by one of Canova’s friend, Giannantonio Selva, the theatre was at the time one of the many private theatres for theatrical and opera performing.

In December 1836 a big fire destroyed the inside structure that was rebuilt one year later just like a mythical bird rebirthing from the ashes.

In the 19th century, the theatre staged world premieres of numerous operas including Rossini’s Tancredi, Sigismondo and Semiramide, Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi (The Capulets and the Montagues) and Beatrice di Tenda, Donizetti’s Belisario (Belisarius), Pia de’ Tolomei, Maria de Rudenz, Verdi’s Ernani, Attila, Rigoletto, La traviata and Simon Boccanegra.

With a seating capacity for over 1,000 people, the Fenice boasts excellent acoustics (which were improved when the theatre was rebuilt after the devastating fire of 1996), a 98-member orchestra and 66-person opera chorus, a dedicated local audience and a large international following. The theatre is a leading creative venue, staging more than one hundred opera performances per year, a major symphonic season conducted by prominent conductors from across the globe, the full cycles of symphonies by Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms and Mahler, a contemporary repertoire focused especially on Venetian artists such as Nono and Maderna, ballets, and chamber music concerts.

1 Hour private Gondola ride

Admire Venice from the most exclusive and breathtaking point of view: the water. Slide among centuries of history and picturesque views on a traditional Venetian gondola, an experience you will hardly forget. The gondola is one of the main symbols of Venice, as emblematic of the famous water city as mysterious in its origins. Not many people know that at the beginning this unique vessel was different from the one we can admire today, changing across time together with the city it is associated with. Of course, the history of the gondola is deeply bonded with the Venice one.

Considered one of the most beautiful and elegant boats on Earth, it is built through unique techniques and each part of it also has symbolic meanings. For example, its multi-pronged ferro, or prow, does have five or six “pettini”, symbolic of the six “sestieri” in which Venice is divided into. The function of this part made of iron is to balance gondoliere’s weigh and it has an “S” shape evoking the flow of the Canal Grande.

Not only elegance and beauty then, but a whole world also embodied in this boat nowadays the symbol of Venice. Let yourself experience in first person the gondola through this tour. An enchanting and relaxing way to enjoy the colours, lights, sights, charm and beauty of Venice. You will admire elegant bank-side palaces, unique bridges and breath the charming and magic atmosphere that only a town built on the water can give you. Can you imagine a better experience to share with the people you love? Probably difficult to find. Just take your smile and beloved one with you, the timeless beauty of Venice seen from the gondola will do the rest.

Ostuni, Alberobello and Polignano a Mare day tour from Bari

Ostuni, a typical village in the province of Brindisi located on the foothills of the Murge plateau, constitutes, along with Santa Maria di Leuca, Otranto and Taranto, one of the most famous places of the Salento peninsula. Also known as the White City because of the characteristic color of its houses, Ostuni rises to over 200 meters above sea level. In the old town of Ostuni, called by its inhabitants “The Land” to distinguish it from the more recent “marina”, the houses climb up the steep slopes of a hill and the village is characterized by a tangle of winding streets, a succession of squares, alleys and courtyards. On top of the hill, it stands the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace.

Alberobello, the trulli village, is a UNESCO world heritage site: the trulli are remarkable examples of drywall (mortar less) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders, collected from neighboring fields. Characteristically, they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs.

Stone street, calm plazas and mystical sea caves make Polignano a Mare one of the most charming coastal towns in Italy.

Matera private tour from Bari

Few people know that Matera is the third oldest city in the world. Houses carved in stone, narrow streets that climb up the hill, a Paleolithic scenario: that’s why Matera has been chosen as a film set for many movies, including the famous “Passion of Christ”.

By the ’50s, over half of Matera’s population lived in the sassi, a typical cave sheltering an average of six people; in the late 1950s, about 15,000 inhabitants were forcibly relocated to new government housing schemes. In 1993, the sassi were declared a Unesco World Heritage Site; ironically, the town’s history of outrageous misery has transformed it into Basilicata’s leading tourist attraction.

Haunting and beautiful, the sassi sprawl below the rim of a yawning ravine like a giant nativity scene. The old town is simply unique and warrants at least a day of exploration and aimless wandering. Although many buildings are crumbling and abandoned, others have been restored and transformed into cozy abodes, restaurants and swish cave-hotels. On the cliff top, the new town is a lively place, with its elegant churches, palazzi and especially the pedestrianised Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

Lecce and Gallipoli day tour from Bari

Lecce, the Baroque masterpiece of southern Italy, described as the “Florence of the Baroque” or the “Rome of the South”, has a long traditional affinity with Greek culture, going back to its foundation. The capital of Salento appeals for a unique combination of folklore, attractions, art and exciting scents. Admire the Cathedral, a wonderful example of baroque style, the former Convent of the Celestines, the Holy Cross Church, a symbol of the baroque style in Lecce built in 1646, the Arch of Triumph, erected in 1548 to pay homage to Charles V, and the churches of Saint Matthew, Saint John the Baptist and Saint Mary of the Graces.

Gallipoli, from the Greek Kallipolis meaning beautiful city, is a fishing village on the coast of southern Puglia. Gallipoli old town, built on an island now connected to the mainland by a bridge, is a picturesque and nice place to stroll. The 17th century Baroque Saint Agate Cathedral is in the center of the town; several interesting churches are along the perimeter of the old town, facing the sea. The walls and bastions surrounding the old town have been built in the 15th century to fend off attacks, especially from pirates. The walls were altered in the 19th century, permitting beautiful views of the sea, port and harbors
