Hit the market here and you can admire the impressive flower displays the town is famed for.

VIP Tenerife Highlights
One of the first settlements founded by the Spanish conquerors, Taganana is also one of the most remote and isolated villages in Tenerife. It’s one of three must-visit locations, along with Candelaria and the Anaga Country Park, in this scenery-rich excursion to the northeast of the island. This is one of our TUI Collection excursions, which give you a local flavour of the destination while showcasing its unique, authentic and responsible values.
Up until the 60s, the fishing village of Taganana, where sugarcube house cascade down towards the ocean, was only accessible on foot or by boat. These days, a winding coastal road connects it to the rest of the island. Next up is Candelaria, the religious centre of Tenerife – its waterfront basilica can hold 5,000 faithful – for a spot of sightseeing.
We’ll continue up the coastal road towards the whitewashed village of Taganana and a lunch of regional delicacies in an authentic, traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, you’ll drive through the mountains to the Anaga Country Park with its deep ravines and forests, some of the oldest in Europe, which date back to the Iron Age.
